Foods with the addition of marijuana is a term referring to food products containing marijuana in the form of herb or cannabis resin. These foods allow you to experience the effects and benefits of cannabinoids in an alternative way without having to smoke cannabis or hashish. Cannabinoids are placed in cakes, cookies and other food products, and then eaten for medicinal or pleasure purposes.
How does food marijuana work?
Contrary to appearances, consuming marijuana is very different from the way you usually take it, i.e. smoking. Inhaling the smoke contained in the cannabinoids such as THC act on us almost immediately. This is because through the vesicles in the lungs, the substances go straight to the blood that is transported throughout the body. Pleasant effects, however, pass quite quickly.
Cannabis products can be essentially consumed in two ways – swallowing or dissolving in the mouth, especially under the tongue. The food we eat must be digested to feel the effects of the substances it contains. Depending on our metabolism, it may take 2-3 hours before we feel the first effects. It is different in the case of products that we dissolve in the mouth – their action will be faster, because the substances will penetrate the bloodstream, especially through the thin mucous membrane under the tongue. In this way, cannabis consumed by us has the chance to work after just 20 minutes.
It is worth adding that marijuana “eaten” lasts much longer. High effects can last up to 8 hours. In addition, due to the long process of absorption of THC, it is easier to take too much dose, which can bring the opposite effect to the intended (malaise).
- 2 g to 5 g of marijuana
- 1 egg
- 100 g butter
- a glass of flour
- half a bar of chocolate (bitter proposed)
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1.5 tablespoons of coconut flakes
- half a cup of sugar
Put sugar and butter in a bowl, and grind to get a fluffy and smooth mass. Add the egg while grinding. Sift flour into a second bowl, and add baking powder. Combine everything with the butter mass, add crushed chocolate, coconut and fine crushed marijuana. Mix everything well. Put dough on greased baking tray. Then put in the oven for about 17-20 minutes, be careful not to exceed 150 degrees temperature. After this time, you pull out the cookies, wait for them to cool down and you can consume them.
Remember, these cookies are illegal, and don’t make fun of someone eating marijuana cookies. The person consuming must be aware that he is consuming THC cookies and hold the responsibility for it, but anyone involved in the process can be found responsible.
