Hand Drum Workshop June 6th & 13th, 2013

Joe Sylliboy will be hosting a hand drum making workshop, June 6th, 2013. 6:30PM - 9:00PM

If you choose to paint your hand drum we will be offering a 2nd day the following week, June 13th, 2013. 6:30PM - 9:00PM

12" Drum - $100.00 

15" Drum - $120.00 

Please specify what size drum you would like to make.

Payment can be made on the day of the workshop.

Pre-registration is required by simply leaving your name and contact information.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 04, 2013. (Materials must be prepared 48 hours beforehand.)

National Aboriginal Week Music and Comedy Performance!

The Glooscap Heritage Centre & Mi'kmaw Museum are pleased to present First Nations Artists Randy Wood & Candy Palmater together on stage at the Glooscap Annex!

Randy Wood, Cree originally from Saddle Lake Alberta Canada is the CEO of Round Dance Blues. A well-known Native American musician, successful dynamic motivational speaker & inspirational  Native American entrepreneur. Randy has recorded & released eight award-winning albums & is a two-time Grammy Nominee.

Comedy Act:


Candy is a recovered lawyer who was raised by bikers in the wilds of Northern New Brunswick.  She is the creator & star of the national, prime time TV series featuring/ promoting East Coast Music & Candy’s comedy, The Candy Show, which airs on APTN.  With three Seasons running on Television, Candy is consistently traveling the country Headlining sold out Comedy shows, & hosting festivals & events.  The Candy Show has been nominated for a   Canadian Screen Award (Gemini) 2013, & Candy herself, has been nominated for an ECMA (East Coast Music Award) for media person of the year 2013.

Tickets will be officially on sale Friday April 26th, 2013. We will be selling tickets from the Mall Each Friday leading up to the show(s) starting this week from 1:00PM - 6:00PM.

June 21 is National Aboriginal Day and the Glooscap Heritage Centre and Mi'kmaw Museum would like to invite everybody from all directions to come participate at one of our signature events! There will be lots of singing, drumming and dancing on display along with a BBQ and craft vendors of local artisans!
